29 Jun 2005

Makedonski Telekomunikacii (MT) says that it has signed up 5,000 ADSL users, since launching high speed internet in January 2004. The telco has recently cut the prices of its three broadband tariffs, but they remain out of reach for most of the population: the 384kbps Max ADSL service now costs MKD2,690 a month (USD56); Office ADSL provides 512 kbps for MKD6,990 (USD146); and the 1Mbps Proffi ADSL package is now MKD16,990 (USD355).
