24 Jun 2005

The Australian Communications Authority (ACA) has entered into a legal battle with a Perth-based company, Clarity1, which it has accused of being behind millions of spam emails. The watchdog received complaints from as far away as the UK about the spam emails and has found the company to be guilty of breaching the Spam Act 2003. Clarity1 could be fined between AUD171,028 and AUD1.1 million.
