Telecom given six months to pay debts

Colombia Telecom has been given until 31 December to pay off its remaining debts after the government extended its deadline from 12 June. Telecom has cleared 70% of its debts (USD543 million) over the last two years, and, according to company officials, is on course to pay back all its creditors by the new deadline.
