17 Jun 2005

Swedish-owned pan-European telecoms operator Tele2 is due to launch its MVNO business in France this weekend to become the country’s first major mobile reseller. The firm says it is hoping to have attracted 350,000 cellular subscribers by the middle of next year and it initially plans to market its services to its 3.5 million French fixed line customers by offering a single fixed-mobile bill and combined tariff for wireline, wireless and internet services. Tele2 is launching three post-paid packages which offer bundles of 30, 60 or 90 minutes for EUR9.85, EUR14.85 and EUR21.85 a month. It plans to introduce pre-paid services by the end of the year.
