Telstra denies Unwired’s claims

15 Jun 2005

Australian giant Telstra has denied claims made by wireless broadband company Unwired that the former incumbent is in danger of being left behind in the wireless broadband sector. Unwired said that Teltra is too focused on its copper network and is lagging behind in the broadband arena, but the telco said that its mobile broadband plans are actually ahead of schedule, with CDMA broadband coverage currently available through over 400 base stations around the country, providing services to over three million people.
