Regulator to revolutionise local telephony tariffs

Colombian regulator CRT has issued a new tariff framework for local telephony, abolishing monthly fixed charges and forbidding operators from charging users per minute or per call. The proposed new system, which also gives users the right to choose a tailored price plan, will come into effect within six months, subject to a final resolution on 24 June.
