Cable companies ramp up triple-play spending

9 Jun 2005

German cable operators will invest nearly EUR200 million this year in the expansion of ‘triple-play’ voice, TV and data services, according to the country’s cable trade association. The investment comes on top of the EUR172 million spent last year by cable companies Kabel Deutschland, Ish, Iesy and Kabel Baden-Württemberg, amongst others. By the end of 2004, 3.65 million homes had triple-play access, a figure which the association predicts will rise to 4.1 million by the end of this year.
