Telkom claims 52% of international calls

8 Jun 2005

PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom) has revealed that it held a 52% share of the international direct dial services market at the end of April. The telco only launched IDD services in June 2004, and hopes to increase its share to 60% by the end of the year. The international call market was previously dominated by Telkom’s rival Indosat, whose monopoly on the sector was ended in 2002.
