8 Jun 2005

German ISP T-Online is planning to invest between EUR800 million and EUR1 billion to ramp up its presence in France and Spain in an effort to win up to a 20% share in both markets. The company, which is owned by Deutsche Telekom, is rolling out its own infrastructure in France and Spain which will allow it to offer ‘triple-play’ packages of TV, telephony and high speed internet services. Half of its planned investment will be used to fund new ADSL2+ and VDSL2 networks, while the remainder will go towards customer acquisition.
