GPRS on the horizon

Qatar’s monopoly cellco Qatarnet says it may bring forward the launch of GPRS services in the country after it successfully wrapped up trials of the technology. ‘The service can be launched anytime now but the exact schedule will depend on our management decision,’ a spokesperson told Gulf Times. The operator had already announced its desire to roll out GPRS commercially before the end of the year.
