Aliant expands CDMA coverage in Newfoundland and Labrador

Canadian wireless operator Aliant has invested USD11 million to extend the reach of its CDMA network to the Avalon Peninsula. The cellco is investing heavily in the region and hopes to have spent USD59 million by the end of this year in expanding coverage to 82% of the population. Since 1999 Aliant has committed USD280 million in wireless investments in Atlantic Canada.
