Wataniya signs EUR100 million 3.5G deal with Nokia

Kuwaiti cellco Wataniya has awarded Nokia a EUR100 million contract for the deployment of 3.5G HSDPA technology, which will allow it to increase data speeds to 1-2Mbps. As part of the deal Nokia will also supply EDGE equipment, which will be used to support advanced services in areas without 3G coverage.
