Hutch experiences roaming glitch

31 May 2005

Hutchison 3G Australia (H3G) has experienced hiccups in moving its customers onto Telstra’s network for roaming services, with a number of users having complained of coverage problems. The 3G operator, which only has 3G coverage in mainland capital cities, is currently in the process of changing its roaming network from Vodafone to Telstra, as part of a deal signed with the former incumbent under which the latter will acquire half of H3G’s network.
