Vodafone sees highest Q1 growth

Vodafone Australia has reported the highest subscriber growth for the first quarter of 2005, adding 204,000 new customers in three months, more than its two main rivals combined; Telstra added 76,000 new users and Optus signed up 86,000. Hutchison, which operates the Orange and 3 networks in the country, added a combined 80,000 customers. Vodafone’s total customer base stood at 2.7 million at the end of March, but claims that the growth continued past March and it now has over three million.
