One of the shareholders of Spanish 3G licensee Xfera has revealed that the telco will have a new partner within two to three months. According to a Dow Jones report, Carlos March, co-chairman of Corporacion Financiera Alba, which has an 11% stake in Xfera, says shareholders are in an “advanced stage of negotiations with a telecom company”. Although March did not name the potential investor, Hutchison Whampoa of Hong Kong and Latin American cellular firm América Móvil have already been linked with Xfera.
