Report shows Latin American region has highest CDMA growth rate

According to a report by the CDMA Development Group, the CDMA mobile phone user base in the Latin American and Carribean region grew by 38% year-on-year in the three months to the end of March 2005, up by 8% in the quarter, the highest growth rate for the standard in the world. Last week the Latin American GSM Association reported that GSM users in the region increased by 154% in Q1 compared to the same period last year.
