Hutch buys back DoCoMo holding

Hutchison Whampoa has revealed it will buy back a 4.1% stake in Hutchison Telecommunications International (HTIL) from Japanese cellco NTT DoCoMo for USD166.5 million. The acquisition, which effectively ends the partnership between the two parties, will raise Hutch’s stake to 74.3%.
