At least three expected to bid for Auna

23 May 2005

Three consortia groups are today expected to submit bids for Spanish telco Auna, valuing the company at around EUR12 billion (USD15 billion) including debt. According to the Financial Times, ten global buyout specialists have been tracking Auna for the past year. A EUR11 billion offer from a private equity group made up of five different companies was rejected last year as too low, as was a separate bid for Auna’s mobile arm Amena.
