Primus considers local float

19 May 2005

Primus Australia has revealed plans for a possible local public listing as one of several options to help it out of a predicted two-year earnings slump. The operator is currently Australia’s fourth largest fixed line telco, with revenues of around AUD540 million in fiscal 2004, but has projected a slump for the next two years, because of an increasing shift in the calling patterns of customers, who are using their mobile phones instead of fixed lines.
