Malaysian government wants four 3G operators

Malaysian deputy prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has said that the country will award two more 3G licences in an effort to increase competition. Malaysia currently has two 3G licence holders, Maxis Mobile and Celcom, but Najib said that the state is considering awarding two further blocks of 3G spectrum ‘in the near future’.
