Aliant to roll out VoIP despite adverse CRTC ruling

Atlantic Canada’s largest telco Aliant will push ahead with its planned launch of VoIP services this year, despite the regulator’s recent ruling that it will continue to regulate VoIP pricing of Canada’s largest telcos, but not that of smaller rivals. Aliant and rival operator Telus have both confirmed they plan to appeal the CRTC’s decision.
