As of today, Dutch telco KPN has appointed Stan Miller, CEO of its Belgian mobile arm BASE, as the head of both BASE and its German wireless subsidiary E-Plus Mobilfunk. The move forms part of KPN’s strategy, announced on 1 March, of consolidating its international group structure. E-Plus reported that its customer base stood at 9.65 million by the end of March, up by 140,000 in the quarter, with the net increase coming almost exclusively from post-paid subscribers. BASE claimed Q1 net additions of 114,000, taking its subscriber base to 1.76 million.
