ETB partners government in school IP network rollout

Wireline service provider Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Bogotá (ETB) has signed a deal with the government to expand the Bogota schools’ IP network, RedP, and set up satellite and mobile infrastructure to give rural education units access to the internet. The education ministry will spend COP14 billion (USD6 million) this year on the project, with a further USD24 million earmarked for the next four years.
