TDC sees EBITDA rise 10% in first quarter, helped by wireline performance

Danish telecoms group TDC has upgraded its performance forecasts for 2005 after posting a 9% rise in Q1 turnover to EUR1.51 billion, with EBITDA up 10% to EUR417 million. The growth was helped by a 7.9% increase in TDC’s total customer base. Revenues at its domestic mobile arm, TDC Mobil, rose by 9.5%, whilst its fixed line division, TDC Solutions, saw revenues rise 13.7%, with sales from internet and data services up 33.9%. TDC’s total number of ADSL customers reached 592,000 at the end of March.
