According to the National Telecommunication Commission (NTC), the number of fixed line telephone customers in the Philippines rose by 4.52% to 3.45 million during 2004, compared to negative growth of 0.35% in 2003. The regulator attributed this year’s growth to aggressive cost bundling, low internet connection pricing and other value added offerings. The country still has 3.08 million unused fixed lines.
