Tele2 eyes German DSL expansion

Swedish telecoms group Tele2 is considering expanding its European DSL operations into the German market, according to the Financial Times Deutschland. Tele2 Germany’s head of marketing Hermann Riedl is quoted as saying that the company may launch DSL services this year, following talks with fixed line providers about renting infrastructure and possible resale arrangements. Tele2 has already launched broadband products in 13 European countries including Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, France, Italy, Spain, Austria and Switzerland.
