According to research by Sony Ericsson, low-end mobile phones will continue to dominate the Indonesian mobile market, as the number of wireless users rises. The company said that out of the country’s 20 million cell phone owners, around 60% are using low-end handsets with integrated cameras, which cost less than USD160. Mid-range handsets take a 25% share. Sony Ericsson also said that the country was not ready for 3G technology.
