Sales up at FT

France’s largest telco France Télécom has posted a 3.5% rise in first-quarter revenues to EUR11.62 billion thanks to gains from foreign exchange rates and the impact of a new mobile billing system. The company said the result was adversely affected by consolidations, including the sale of Orange Denmark. The company’s gross operating margin was up 3.3% to EUR4.38 billion, 37.7% of sales. France Télécom expects full-year revenue growth of between 3% and 5%, with a gross operating margin of more than EUR18.5 billion.
