Magyar hopes to achieve revenue growth in 2005

28 Apr 2005

Hungarian incumbent Magyar Telekom (formerly Matav) has revealed that it hopes to see single-digit revenue growth in 2005 and 2006, after reporting a decrease of 1% in revenues in 2004. The operator said its goals did not include possible acquisitions along the way. It wanted to reach EBITDA of around 40% of revenue, and will limit investment spending to 15% of revenue. The company’s financial results have been affected by customers cancelling fixed line subscriptions in recent years, and it plans to concentrate more on its broadband operations to counter this.
