28 Apr 2005

Kenyan regulator the Communications Commission of Kenya (CCK) has suspended four senior legal officers from its board, following the dispute over whether Econet Wireless is financially capable of launching a Kenyan operation. One of the staff suspended was company secretary John Omo. The suspension comes a month after the entire CCK board was dissolved and suspended indefinitely following allegations of illegal activity within the company.
