27 Apr 2005

Finnish equipment supplier Nokia has announced that its net sales in the Chinese market grew 11% to EUR4.5 billion in the first three months of this year, making the country its biggest single market. Of Nokia’s eleven mobile handset manufacturing plants around the world, two are in China, reflecting the fast-growing market’s importance to the Finnish company’s global sales. Nokia was the top-selling handset manufacturer in China in 2004, increasing its share of sales from 15% in 2003 to almost 20%.
