Nepal Telecom has selected ZTE Corporation to deliver a package of mobile data services to Nepal, a first for the landlocked Himalayan Kingdom. Under the deal ZTE will supply 10,000 lines capable of supporting GPRS services, as well as providing a million new GSM lines to build out a network covering the Kathmandu Valley, following the dismantling and relocation of all base transceiver stations (BTSs) located there.
