SKT to invest USD150 million in Vietnam

SK Telecom (SKT) has put aside USD150 million to invest in its Vietnamese subsidiary S-Fone to enhance its services and achieve nationwide coverage. It also hopes to upgrade S-Fone’s network to CDMA2000 1X EV-DO. S-Fone was launched in July 2003 and currently has around 230,000 customers. SKT hopes to increase this figure to a million by the end of 2006.
