Q-Tel to link to FALCON

Qatar Telecom (Q-Tel) is the latest operator to sign up to FLAG Telecom’s FALCON undersea fibre-optic cable, joining Oman, Egypt, Bahrain, India and Kuwait in purchasing capacity on the new Gulf region system. The FALCON cable will land in Doha and promises to significantly boost Q-Tel’s international connectivity. The network is being built out by Alcatel Submarine Networks. Q-Tel’s current international links are made via the SeaMeWe and Fibre Optic Gulf cable systems.
