IBM inks USD125 million telematics deal with UAE government

The government of the UAE has signed a USD125 million four-year deal with IBM for the supply of customised telematics devices in thousands of vehicles in the state. The units will provide government agencies with information on location and speed via a nationwide wireless network, and could help reduce road traffic accidents among the country’s two million madcap drivers significantly.
