Nortel misses 1Q results deadline

Nortel Networks now plans to file its first quarter 2005 financial statements by the end of May and does not expect to meet regulator’s deadlines. The equipment manufacturer is still working on 2004 year-end statements, which it expects to file with the US and Canadian securities regulators by the end of April.
