MoD to offer USD250 million satellite upgrade contract

The Greek Ministry of Defence says it expects to hold a tender later this year for the supply and installation of upgrades to the country’s Hellas Sat orbiter. The contract is reputedly worth as much as EUR250 million (USD320 million) and is expected to pique the interest of consortia led by Siemens and Alcatel, both of which specialise in supplying government defence agencies.
