The federal court of Miami has fined the government of Belize hundreds of thousands of dollars for illegally seizing control of Belize Telecommunications Ltd (BTL). The court ruled that Belize should pay USD50,000 per day in compensation to Innovative Communications Company (ICC), starting from 29 March until compliance.
