Draft interconnect ruling published

14 Apr 2005

New Zealand’s Commerce Commission has produced a draft interconnection ruling to settle a dispute between the fixed line operators Telecom Corp and TelstraClear. The watchdog recommends an interconnect rate of NZD0.01 per minute, down from the current level of NZD0.0113. The charge will be backdated to June 2002 when the previous rate was set. Parties have until 9 May to make submissions regarding the draft ruling.
