Optus CEO says no to Telstra position

8 Apr 2005

Paul O’Sullivan, the CEO at SingTel Optus, has said he will not take the same job at rival operator Telstra when Ziggy Switkowski leaves the company this summer. It was rumoured that O’Sullivan had been approached for the job. Switkowski must leave Telstra before 1 July this year, ahead of the planned USD35 billion privatisation of the telco in 2006, but the company is finding it hard to recruit a successor.
