Mobile operator Telecom Development Company Afghanistan (TDCA) was yesterday issued with a USD35 million loan from the Asian Development Bank to finance the upgrade and expansion of its GSM network. TDCA launched commercial services under the Roshan banner (meaning ‘light’) in July 2003 and has expanded rapidly to become the country’s largest wireless operator.
