Vodafone says its pre-pay tariffs are cheaper than a landline

6 Apr 2005

Vodafone Sweden has cut the price of its pre-paid mobile service to SEK0.1 (approximately USD0.01) per minute off-peak for calls to landlines and other Vodafone customers, which it claims makes its service cheaper than the tariffs on offer by fixed line incumbent Telia. Calls at to other mobile networks cost SEK3.75 (USD0.53) per minute at peak times and SEK1.75 (USD0.25) off peak.
