Free line rental for life a Smart move

Ireland’s third largest telco Smart, has claimed to have signed up 20,000 broadband customers in just eight weeks. Smart had originally expected to sign up 30,000 customers by the end of 2005, but its offer for free line rental for life to the first 100,000 customers coupled with a faster product that many rivals, saw it comfortable exceed the target. Smart offers a 2Mbps service for EUR35 a month.
