Bolivian local telephony cooperative Cotas says it expects to provide connections to between 250 and 300 internet centres via its recently launched rural satellite internet services by the end of the year. Cotas began trialling the service – which cost USD70,000 to implement and offers both dial-up and DSL access – last month and has so far signed up 30 clients.
