DiGi committed to continued rollout

Malaysian cellco DiGi Telecommunications is continuing to expand its GSM network coverage to new areas of the country, announcing yesterday that is has rolled out services to Lahad Datu and Kunak in the East Malaysian region. Benny Wee, DiGi’s general manager for the region, said that the move represented a ‘significant’ investment and demonstrated a commitment to the upgrade and expansion of its network beyond the most populous areas of the country.
