SingTel reduces Globe stake to 45.1%

SingTel has sold 4.2 million common shares in Filipino telco Globe Telecom, reducing its share in the operator from 44.6% to 45.1%.

In a separate story Globe and rival fixed line operator PLDT have revealed plans to target small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for their high-speed broadband services. PLDT hopes to have signed up 80,000 DSL subscribers by the end of 2005.
