BT to up Asian IT investment

BT Group says it will invest a further USD48 million in the Asia-Pacific region, focusing primarily on developing IP technologies and migrating services to a single integrated platform for voice, video and data. In addition, BT is expanding its direct coverage in the region to 13 countries and 30 cities with its own infrastructure, and increasing its reach to over 50 cities. The UK telco provides services to 115 countries worldwide.
