Yorkshire set to become 100% broadband enabled

By the end of this year, Yorkshire and the Humber will be one of only a handful of areas in the UK to boast ADSL broadband capability in 100% of its local telephone exchanges. According to regional procurement agency Yorkshire Forward, it has invested GBP2.2 million in helping to upgrade the final 24 exchanges that BT had previously deemed ‘not commercially viable.’
