Virgin Mobile’s Qix fix

15 Mar 2005

Vigin Mobile UK and Zi Corporation are to conduct consumer trials of the latter’s recently launched Qix technology, which is claimed to be an ‘innovative mobile service discovery engine that combines predictive text and content indexing to enable rapid discovery of contacts, features and services’ on a smart phone. Qix will be incorporated into Virgin Mobile’s Nokia 6630 handsets from the Spring 2005 and the trial will test service usage and ARPU between users with and without the technology.
