Optus to invest AUD5 million in broadband

9 Mar 2005

Australian telco Optus has pledged to invest AUD5 million in expanding its broadband and telecoms infrastructure for the business market in the south of the country. South Australia is currently underserved by broadband, and there is a lack of competitive services in the area, resulting in high pricing. Optus hopes that its network extension will combat this problem and significantly contribute to increasing business broadband penetration in the region.
